Serge Cuesta

Serge CuestaPresident and Co-Founder

Serge Cuesta has over 20 years experience in the field of Internet and networks. He created several innovative companies in these markets, before launching in 1996 his first company dedicated to the acceleration of Internet traffic. In 2004, he co-founded ActivNetworks with two partners, experts of network protocols and data processing and pioneers in the field of active networks.

Member of the OSEO Excellence network, Serge won the IE Club award for “International Development” with ActivNetworks. As a Foreign Trade Advisor and a member of the Advisory Board of the Banque de France, Serge Cuesta makes an active contribution toward ensuring the success of the French economy.

Joel Levée

Joel LeveeCTO and Co-Founder

Joel Levee, one of the three co-founders of ActivNetworks is a true technology innovation visionary. He designs and leads the major technological projects at ActivNetworks where he manages the development team and initiates the product strategy.

With 25 years of experience in developing software and electronic, Joel is an expert in signal processing and language theory (compilation and neuro-linguistic programming). As a project manager in robotics, he developed a real-time scheduler and a PID motion control software. He has also developed several compilers, including a basic industrial model for process management.

For 15 years he has worked in the field of network protocols and data compression. As R & D director, he is a firm believer in the “Kelly Johnson” school of management, tackling major projects with a small, closely-knit team.

Rémy Nonnenmacher

Remy NonnenmacherSenior Architect and Co-founder

ActivNetworks’ co-founder, Remy Nonnemacher is also ActivNetworks’ Senior Architect with the responsibility for implementing the company’s technology vision in the BoostEdge solutions.

With over 20 years’ experience in IT development, Remy shows a solid experience in project management, research and development. He has designed and developed algorithms for robots with INRO and was the Director of Research and Development at Synchronix.

Remy is an active contributor to the FreeBSD community. He is also member of the National Network for Research and Technology (RNRT).

Cécile Prévot

Cecile PrevotChief Financial Officer

With nearly 15 years’ experience in accounting, finance and business management, Cécile Prévot joined ActivNetworks in 2008 where she brings a strong background in managing fast growing companies as well as large organizations.

Before joining ActivNetworks, Cécile was Chief Financial Officer for a 70 people SME, where she was responsible for the whole corporate management: Finance, human resources, facility management, etc.

Previously, Cécile was Senior Associate in Certified Public Accountants firm. She was in charge of a portfolio including some thirty customers in public accounting and a dozen of companies that must certify their accounts by auditors.

Cécile Prévot has a DECF degree, Master in Accounting and Finance.

Jérôme Anastase

Jerome AnastaseDirector, Enterprise Business Unit

With over 25 years’ experience in the IT sector, Jerome Anastase joined ActivNetworks mid 2011 as Director of the Business Unit in charge of promoting BoostEdge solutions through indirect channels towards the Enterprise market.

Jérôme comes to ActivNetworks from Motorola where he was Executive Director for Motorola France and Sales Director Europe for the Motorola Home division. Jerome joined Motorola through the acquisition of Netopia, where he was Senior Vice President EMEA. At Netopia, Jerome increased sales by 650% in 5 years, greatly contributing to the success of the company in the broadband Internet market space.

Jerome Anastase has also held various sales positions at Rank Xerox and NCR before setting up the French subsidiaries of several American and European IT vendors in the 1990s, such as Insignia Solutions.

Jerome Anastase owns a Master degree from Marseille Euromed Business School.

Christian Viollette

Christian ViolletteDirector, Telecom Business Unit

With over 25 years experience in multinationals in the telecommunication industry, Christian Viollette joined ActivNetworks at the end of 2010 as Director of the Business Unit in charge of promoting BoostEdge towards telecom operators.

Prior to ActivNetworks, Christian was Director of Business Development at PacketVideo, a
software developer specialized in distribution and processing of multimedia content to mobile phones and fixed broadband access, with the responsibility of the largest European mobile operators such as Vodafone, SFR or T-Mobile.

Christian started his career in several software companies before joining IBM where he spent 15 years in the division dedicated to telecom networks. He held various technical and sales management positions in France and abroad.

Christian then joined Lucent Technologies where he was responsible for data technologies dedicated to enterprises and operators for Europe. He then focused on DSL technologies on which Lucent quickly became one of the worldwide leaders.

Christian Viollette owns an engineering degree from ESIEE and a Business Administration degree from the Sorbonne University.

Caroline Paulin

Caroline PaulinDirector, Product Marketing

With over 15 years of experience in start-ups and innovative SMEs in the telecommunication and high-tech sector, Caroline Paulin joined ActivNetworks in 2009 as Director of Product Marketing.

Caroline has previously created and led the Corporate Marketing Department at Ateme, the expert in video compression for broadcast and IPTV, after being initially Product Line Manager acquisition cards and audio / video compression.

Previously, she held various R&D functions at EADS, PSA-Peugeot-Citroen and Mobile Way (mobile messaging and mobile commerce services, now Sybase), where she was responsible for the technical department.

Caroline Paulin graduated from EPF Engineering school (Electronics and Telecommunications) and owns a PhD in Optics and Photonics from the University of Orsay.
